in keeping with this weird tradition of posting all my demos/songs on here as they materialize (call it a diary) here is a song i recorded tonight during some freak thunderstorm.
lyrically it’s probably the darkest song i’ve recorded. darker than the last one i claimed was the darkest song i’d recorded. musically it’s one of the happiest/most melancholy/playful songs i’ve recorded. it’s a mixture of acoustic guitar, cheap drum samples, toy keyboards, toy pianos, and noise. i recorded everything in one take.
by the end it… changes quite a lot.
it’s called ‘doing all the things i used to do with people, part 2’ and it’s about 2009 and all the terrible things that happened that year.
