one of the things I love knowing about people is the song they can’t stop listening to, it’s usually pretty telling. I can name the favorite song of everyone I’ve been with because they invariably become one of my favorite songs by association. and long after I stop caring or thinking about that person I’ll still love it. the concept of love at first sight has always pissed me off
love at first month too. or three months.
how can you say you love someone if you don’t know them? do you really think you can really, truly understand someone in such a short amount of time? I’m learning new things about people I’ve known for years. it takes time, care and cultivation and I’ll only say I’m in love with someone after that point.
people just throw around the phrase “in love” so much at this age it literally means nothing. don’t confuse love and infatuation, they’re so different, they really are. but I guess people only have their previous experience to base things off of, you’ll think something is love until you love something more. I’m still not even sure if I’ve been in love? I love people very easily but falling in love is different. maybe once, years ago, but whatever. my emotions aren’t serious, nothing is serious because I’m so young and stupid and everything I’m thinking and saying is dumb so whatever. perspective, perspective, perspective.
the people who have criticized me for overthinking have often been the ones who don’t think enough. don’t be careless with other people’s emotions. live in the moment but take time to reflect. be tactful, be considerate and most of all show respect or you won’t get any, at least not from me.
